For data centres

One credential, one person, every time.

In a data centre an unauthorised entry isn't an inconvenience, it's a reportable incident. The entrance has to enforce that on its own.

A brand of FAAC Technologies

Most access control tells you who presented a credential. It doesn't tell you how many people walked through afterwards. For a facility carrying customer workloads under audit, that gap is the whole problem — a badge event with two bodies attached is indistinguishable in the log from a badge event with one.

Interlocked security portals close that gap physically. The portal encloses a single person, confirms via sensors that only one occupant is present, and refuses to release until it does. That is the difference between a barrier that discourages tailgating and one that prevents it. It's why portals, rather than speed gates, end up on the boundary of a data hall.

Around that core you usually want layers: speed gates managing volume through the front-of-house lobby, portals at the transition into secure space, and full-height turnstiles where an unstaffed perimeter needs the barrier itself to be the deterrent. Each layer should log to the same audit trail.

All of it has to run unattended, continuously, for years — because the facility does.

What matters to you

Anti-tailgating enforcement
Single-occupancy detection that physically prevents a second person entering on one credential, rather than alarming after the fact.
Auditable event logging
Entry and exit events recorded in a form that satisfies customer audits and certification requirements.
Layered boundaries
Lobby, secure-space and perimeter treated as separate control points with hardware appropriate to each.
Continuous unattended operation
Specified and maintained for 24/7 duty with no one on site to intervene, and serviced to keep it that way.
