Turnstiles
New Zealand's Favourite Full Height Turnstiles
Perimeter access control for unstaffed gates, yards and site boundaries — where the barrier itself has to be the deterrent.
A brand of FAAC Technologies
Start with the environment, not the model
Any full height turnstile will control access on day one. The differences show up in year six, which makes finish the real decision. Hot dip galvanised is what we specify for most sites and what we'd recommend for yours — it handles New Zealand industrial conditions and it is the sensible default on cost. If the unit needs to match a colour scheme, powder coat goes over the galv. Stainless is available on request where a site genuinely warrants it, and we'll tell you if we think it does.
Then traffic. A lane clearing a shift change is a different specification from one admitting a few contractors a day, and a twin-lane unit often costs less than two singles once the civils are counted.
Not sure this is what you need? For lobby throughput and appearance rather than perimeter security, optical speed gates are the better answer — we supply those too, so give us a call. If unauthorised entry is a reportable event, look at security portals instead.

Turnstar
Triumph
Turnstar's highest-volume turnstile, proven in African mining. Two sizes: the standard unit, and the WIDE 900mm — a variant that exists nowhere else, designed here for New Zealand industrial sites.

- Sizes
- Standard, or the WIDE 900mm designed for New Zealand
- Configuration
- Standard single or double; WIDE 900mm is single lane
- Rotor
- 3 arm (120°) or 4 arm (90°) standard; WIDE 900mm is 3 arm (120°)
- Rotor arms
- 32mm U-tube, spaced 165mm apart
- Standard finish
- Hot dip galvanised
- Finish options
- Powder coat over the galv where colour matters; stainless on request at additional cost
- Installation
- Interior or exterior, severe conditions
- Battery backup
- Up to 1,000 transactions, or 60 minutes fail-safe
- Guarantee
- 10 year mechanical, 1 year electrical
- Dimensions
- Confirmed in writing for your opening before order
Turnstar
Titan
The higher-security, better-looking option. The real difference is the rotor — 50mm straight tube at 120mm spacing, against the Triumph's 32mm U-tube at 165mm. It also idles at a quarter of a watt, which is what makes the solar option viable at a perimeter with no power run.

- Configuration
- Single or double (twin lane)
- Rotor
- 3 arm (120°) or 4 arm (90°)
- Rotor arms
- 50mm tube, spaced 120mm apart
- Rotor diameter
- 1,200mm
- Dimensions
- Single 1,400 × 2,125mm; double 2,150 × 2,125mm
- Minimum opening
- Single 1,430 × 2,250mm; double 2,180 × 2,250mm
- Weight
- 160kg single, 255kg double (4 arm)
- Operation
- Bi-directional, one person at a time
- Power failure
- Fail-secure or fail-safe, configurable per direction; free rotation on fire alarm
- Standby power
- 0.25W single, 0.5W double (fail-secure)
- Battery backup
- Up to 5,500 transactions, or 270 minutes fail-safe
- Off-grid
- Solar panel with charge controller available
- Finish
- Hot dip galvanised mild steel; powder coat over the galv for colour, or brushed stainless, on request
- Integration
- Dry contact unlock, rotation-complete output
- Guarantee
- 10 year mechanical, 1 year electrical
Magnetic
MPT
The engineered option, from FAAC's Magnetic range. Where Triumph and Titan are built around mechanical robustness, the MPT is built around drive quality and certified safety — a near-silent planetary gearbox, and compliance with the current pedestrian gate safety standard.

- Configuration
- Single lane or dual lane, full height
- Drive options
- Mechanical one-way, electromechanical locking, electromechanical drive, or motorised
- Drive unit
- MHTM™ with planetary gearbox
- Design life
- 10 million passages
- Safety standard
- DIN EN 17352 via Magnetic Safe Drive Solution (MSDS®)
- Safety rating
- Performance Level d, Category 2
- Finishes
- Powder coated steel (standard or special colours), 316 stainless
- Power consumption
- Approximately 50W
- Accessibility
- Expandable for wheelchair access; swing levers for bicycles and material transport
Designed here
The 900mm Triumph exists because New Zealand asked for it
The Triumph comes in two sizes: Turnstar's standard unit, and the WIDE 900mm. The second is a special design made specifically for New Zealand, created for the demands of local industrial factories including food processing facilities.
It matters where people move through in wet weather gear, carry equipment, or come off a line together at shift change. It ships hot dip galvanised; stainless is a special request at additional cost. We confirm opening dimensions in writing against your site before anything is ordered.
Where these go in
Unstaffed perimeters
Gates with nobody on them. The barrier is the whole control, day and night.
Warehouses & logistics
Keeping people out of the vehicle gate, so nobody shares a lane with a truck.
Stadiums & venues
Counted, one-at-a-time entry that survives a crowd arriving at once.
Contractor & yard access
Enforcing one person per credential where tailgating is the actual risk.
Plan the groundwork, not just the turnstile
Most of the work happens before the unit turns up: a level base to bolt down to, power and data run out to where the reader sits, and a decision on how the lane behaves in a power cut or an evacuation. Settling those on the drawing costs a great deal less than settling them once the concrete is down.
We supply, install, integrate with the access control you already run, and service it afterwards. If you're replacing a turnstile that has failed, we can usually work to the existing footprint and leave the groundwork as it is.
