Service & Maintenance
Automatic door service and repair.
We handle commercial automatic door maintenance, emergency breakdown response and full mechanical overhauls — planned and reactive, on FAAC operators and on everybody else's.
A brand of FAAC Technologies
When an entrance stops, the building stops.
A failed automatic door is rarely just a door. When it won't close, won't open or sticks open, it needs an emergency repair — not a work order that sits in a queue. That one fault touches everything at once: an accessible entrance that no longer is one, an escape route that may not open, a security boundary propped open with a wedge, and a queue of people who assume the building is shut.
We service and repair automatic sliding, swing and revolving doors, turnstiles, speed gates and security portals — whatever brand is on the header. Our technicians work to manufacturer tolerances, not to whatever gets the door moving again. That covers everything from a sensor that's stopped triggering to a motor or operator that's lost its timing. Automatic door, auto door or autodoor — whatever you call it, we look after it.
- Breakdown callouts
- A door that's not closing, won't open, keeps opening, keeps closing or has come off its track is urgent. Call us for reactive, breakdown door repair and we'll get a technician to it.
- Planned maintenance
- Preventative servicing on a cycle that suits the traffic the door sees — commercial automatic door maintenance that heads off the failure before it happens.
- All brands
- We're the FAAC specialist, but our technicians maintain and repair other manufacturers' operators too.
- Parts & spares
- Sensors, safety beams, belts, carriages, controllers and activation devices — supplied and fitted.

RKU Upgrade Kits
You don't need to buy a new door.
When an automatic sliding door has had enough, the assumption is usually that the whole entrance has to be torn out and replaced. It almost never does. The glass, frames and finishes are typically fine — it's the operator behind the header that has worn out.
An RKU upgrade kit replaces the working parts of your existing door with a new FAAC drive, controller and sensors. Same opening, same glass, same frames — new mechanism, new warranty, and a door that runs like it did on day one.
The kits fit almost every automatic sliding door already installed in New Zealand, whatever brand it started life as — Besam, Dorma, Geze, Record, Gilgen, Ditec and more. Check your operator against the fitment list.
Keep the glass and frames
No shopfront demolition, no reglazing, no making good. The entrance stays as it looks now.
A fraction of a replacement
You're buying the mechanism, not the whole entrance — and not the builder's work around it.
Installed in a day, usually
Most upgrades are done inside a single visit, so the entrance is back in service fast.
Fits almost any existing door
Designed to retrofit into the door openings already installed across New Zealand.
New parts, new warranty
Current-generation FAAC drive, controller and safety sensors, supported and serviceable.
Not sure whether your door is a candidate? We're happy to come out, look at what you've got and quote it — no obligation.
Fitment
Which sliding doors does an RKU kit fit?
If your operator is on this list, it can almost certainly be upgraded rather than replaced. If it isn't, it still may be — the older NZ installed base is full of operators whose badge has long since fallen off.

Doors on a compliance schedule?
If your automatic doors are a specified system, they need scheduled inspection by an Independent Qualified Person to support your Building Warrant of Fitness. We carry out that automatic door compliance work alongside servicing, so it's one visit and one provider.
